Date: Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2019
Time: 2:00 p.m. (CST)
Location: Montgomery, Ala. – AUM Tennis Complex
About the Warhawks
The Warhawks (2-2) will look to end their two-game skid with a victory against West Georgia. AUM had won their first two matches of the season in dominant fashion but have dropped their last two matches to #13 Florida Southern and #2 West Florida.
AUM has a 7-5 record in doubles play through four matches, with
Alba De la Torre and
Svenja Petri leading the way for the Warhawks this season, registering an undefeated record of 4-0.
De La Torre has also jumped out to a 2-1 record in singles play this season, with both of her wins coming out of the four slot for the Orange & Black.
Sofia Navarro has posted wins in two different positions for the Warhawks, earning a 2-1 record overall. The sophomore has a 1-0 record in the two slot, and a 1-1 mark while playing in the three position.
About the Wolves
West Georgia (2-2) is coming off their first conference victory of the season against the Christian Brothers Lady Bucs but have not played since their match with CBU back on February 10.
The Wolves have just two players with a winning record through their first four games of the season. Shelby Brown will take a 3-1 record into her match against AUM and has recorded all three victories in the third position.
Brown has also succeeded in doubles play this season, earning an undefeated 3-0 record with her partner Meg Cummings.
Bailey McCammon has also earned three victories in 2019, netting a 3-1 record exclusively out of the fifth slot for the Wolves. McCammon has, however, struggled with her doubles partner Jamie Bryant, as they have been unable to record a win this season.
