- After seeing Embry-Riddle retake the lead 3-1 with a pair of runs in the fifth, the Warhawks would respond in their next at bat by plating a run and cutting their deficit in half. Brandt would supply the pop for AUM in the inning, scoring Friesen on a two-out double down the left field line.
- After seeing Embry-Riddle put up two runs in the bottom of the seventh, the Warhawks would add a run in the top of the eighth on an RBI knock to right from Hill.
