MONTGOMERY, Ala. – With the cancellation of a dual match with Jackson State, the Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis team will turn their attention to Gulf South Conference foe Mississippi College this weekend as the Warhawks will begin a four-match road swing with the Choctaws.

About the Warhawks
AUM (6-5) is coming off a 2-1 homestand last week when they took down #26 St. Edward's and GSC opponent Alabama Huntsville. With the two wins, the Warhawks moved up 11 spots in the latest ITA rankings.
Two Warhawks have entered the top-50 singles players in the ITA,
Alvaro Terron and
Eban Straker-Meads are now ranked #29 and #41 respectively.
Terron is currently 5-4 on the season in singles play, registering four of those wins in the number one position against some of the best players in the country. Terron will come into the weekend with a two-match win streak.
Straker-Meads enters jumps into the national rankings for the first time this season. The sophomore has an 8-3 record in singles play and leads the entire team in wins. Straker-Meads also has four doubles victories in 2019.
About the Choctaws
Mississippi College (5-8) will enter their match with AUM on the heels of a 4-3 loss to regional foe and GSC rival Delta State. The Choctaws have five wins on the season, three of them coming in conference play.
MC has just five matches left in the season, all of them coming against teams in the Gulf South Conference. Their match with the Orange & Black is the first of a two-match homestand that also features Lee.
The Choctaws have four upper-classmen, including four seniors, and will rely on their youth for the remainder of the season to get them into postseason play.
