MONTGOMERY, Ala – The Auburn University at Montgomery's men's tennis team will be back in action on Wednesday, when they play host to regional foe and defending national champions Columbus State before traveling to Jackson State to take on the Tigers on Saturday.

About the Warhawks
The Warhawks (3-1) will be seeing their first action since Feb. 22 when they fell to West Florida by a score of 6-1. Prior to the setback, AUM had opened the season with three consecutive victories.

Eban Straker-Meads will look to continue his great start to the season. He currently holds the only undefeated record at 4-0 with two wins coming at both the one and two slots for AUM.

In doubles play, Straker-Meads has been paired with both Jose Garcia and Alvaro Terron, netting a 2-1 overall record.

Garcia has also found success early on in 2019, jumping out to a 3-1 record in singles competition. The Toluca, Mexico native has seen time in three different positions for the Warhawks, earning wins in the third, fourth and fifth slot.

About the Cougars
Columbus State (8-1) will come to the Capital City ranked No. 2 in the country and have won eight of their first nine matches of 2019 with their only loss coming to No. 3 Barry.

The Cougars have faced off against three different ranked opponents through their first nine matches and currently support a 2-1 record. Columbus State has defeated No. 7 Saint Leo and No. 8 Valdosta State by a combined score of 13-1.

KP Pannu has led the way for the Cougars this season, playing all seven of his matches in the one slot and earning a dominant 6-1 record. Three other teammates have been able to match Pannu's 6-1 mark, with Alvaro Regalado, Tommaso Schold and Matei Avram all netting the same record.

About the Tigers
Jackson State (2-15) is the only Division I opponent AUM will face this season. The Warhawks fell to the Tigers in 2018 by a score of 3-4. In 2019, Jackson State is currently on a three-game skid.

The tigers have, however, earned wins against the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Gulf South Conference opponent Mississippi College. AUM will face the Choctaws on March 30 in Clinton, Miss.
