#27 Men’s Tennis To Play Three Road Matches In Six Days Against GSC Opponents

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – After winning three-straight matches, the Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis team will continue their road trip with three matches in six days, all against Gulf South Conference opponents.  
 
About the Warhawks
The #27 Warhawks (7-5, 2-1 GSC) are winners of three-straight and are now two games above the 500 mark for the first time since early February. AUM will wrap up their road trip before playing three of their last four matches at home.  
 
#29 Alvaro Terron has been one of the most consistent Warhawks all season. Winning his last three singles games, Terron is 6-4 over his last ten matches and has five of his eight wins in the first slot.
 
#41 Eban Straker-Meads, despite dropping his last singles match, has entered the ITA rankings for the first time this season. He is tied with Terron for the team lead in victories with eight and he has also netted six doubles victories.
 
Straker-Meads and Santiago Veglia have been AUM's best doubles pairing this season, registering an undefeated 4-0 record playing in the two slot for head coach Yair Banuelos' Warhawks.

About the Hawks
Shorter (2-9, 0-6 GSC) have lost nine-consecutive matches and are yet to record a conference victory. The Hawks last win came on February 8, a 7-0 win over Fort Valley State University.
 
Jose Moreno-Manzano is the Hawks premier singles player in 2019. With a record of 10-6, Moreno-Manzano has netted all ten of his wins in the first slot and is 3-5 over his last eight matches.
 
The pairing of      Gregoire Vincent and Malik Yawar is tied for the Shorter lead with three doubles victories, playing exclusively in the second position. Moreno-Manzano and Talha Zubair also have three wins in doubles play.

About the Bucs
Christian Brothers (12-9, 1-5 GSC) have lost three of their last four matches and have dropped their last three GSC matches against Mississippi College, Lee and Alabama Huntsville. The Bucs' match with AUM will be the fourth of a four-match homestand.
 
Paul Chabaud leads the Bucs in singles victories with 12. Chabaud has started all 19 matches for Christian Brothers in the first position and has a 2-2 record in conference competition.
 
Four players have at least 10 doubles victories in 2019, with the paring of Andres Calzacorta and Atilio Flores leading the way with a 10-11 record while playing in all three doubles positions for the Buccaneers.

About the Statesmen
Delta State (8-3, 3-2 GSC) are winners of two-straight including seven of nine. At home, the Statesmen are 4-1 on the season, while the Warhawks have a 2-0 record away from the AUM Tennis Complex.
 
Emile Le Terrier is tied for the team lead with eight singles victories and has an overall record of 8-1 solely out of the number one slot. Teammate Leo De Sousa has also netted eight victories playing in both the four and five position.
 
In doubles play, the pairing of Le Terrier and Trey Seymour are 9-1 including a 4-1 mark in GSC competition. The duo has won six-consecutive matches and are 9-1 over their last ten appearances.
