TALLADEGA, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery softball team got its offense back on track in a doubleheader sweep of Talladega College on Tuesday afternoon by earning a pair of five-inning victories over the Tornadoes, winning 10-0 in game one before taking game two 11-0.
NOTES
- AUM falls to 37-11 on the season with a 14-4 mark on the road.
- TC drops to 4-32 on the year.
- Today marked the third and fourth meeting of the season between the two schools, with AUM having won all four games.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Freshman
Savanna Holmes tied the school record for home runs in a game with two in game two. Holmes went 2-for-4 on the day with four runs batted in and two runs scored.
- Junior
Parker Pinholster went 3-for-3 at the plate with three RBI and four runs scored. Pinholster was also hit by a pitch three times to reach base in each of her plate appearances, tallying two stolen bases on the day.
- Freshman
Olivia Aycock 3-for-4 offensively with six runs scored and one RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME ONE
- In the top of the first with runners at first and second,
Michaelyn Foster doubled to leftfield to drive in the game's first run.
- The Warhawks plated three more runs in the top of the second, scoring on a pair of errors by the Tornadoes along with a Pinholster single to left to go up 4-0 after two complete.
- AUM put up a five-spot in the top of the third, highlighted by a
Gracie Harris two-RBI single with runners at second and third. After three innings the visitors lead 9-0.
- After being held scoreless in the fourth, the Warhawks added another run on a
Jade Ingram ground out that plated
Kasidy Thompson from third and gave the Orange & Black a 10-0 advantage.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE – GAME ONE
- The Warhawks scored 10 runs on 11 hits with no errors.
- TC was held scoreless on three hits while committing two errors.

Michaelyn Foster picked up the victory in game one to improve to 13-3 on the season. Foster allowed two hits over 3.0 innings pitched.
- The Tornadoes' Brianna Welch fell to 2-11 on the season after allowing 10 runs (six earned) on 11 hits with one strikeout and four hit batters.
HOW IT HAPPENED – GAME TWO
- Game two saw the Warhawks put up a four-spot in the first inning, highlighted by Holmes' first home run of the day – a two-run blast to left centerfield.
- AUM added four more runs in the top of the second with Holmes providing another two-run shot to center which put the Warhawks up 8-0.
- The Warhawks loaded the bases in the top of the third for Foster who drew a walk to push the lead to 9-0.
Jaycie Walker then delivered a single to right to plate one more followed by a Thompson ground out that scored another.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE – GAME TWO
- AUM scored 11 runs on 10 hits with no errors.
- The Tornadoes were shutout while collecting two hits with no errors.

Jade Ingram was credited with the win in relief to improve to 5-1 on the season. Ingram allowed two hits over 3.0 innings with a pair of K's.
- Toni Cooper took the loss for TC to fall to 0-3 this year. Cooper allowed 11 runs on nine hits with four walks, two hit batters and one strikeout.
