HOW IT HAPPENED
- AUM started the scoring frenzy with three runs in their first at-bat of the ballgame. Arrington came across for the game's first run on a wild pitch, while a pair of RBI singles from Friesen and Blackwell would make up for the remainder of the damage done in the first.
- The Warhawks second-inning offensive outburst saw them send 14 batters to the plate, and pick up nine runs on seven base hits, with five doubles. Brandt, Feaster and C. Henderson all slugged a two-RBI double in the inning, while Friesen and Zielonko both also drove in a run via a two-bagger.
- The Chargers would answer back with a pair of runs in the third and fourth frames to trim AUM's lead to 12-4, but the Warhawks would respond with two runs in the fifth and a run in the sixth to lead 15-6 after six. Cobb's two-run blast to left in the fifth, and Arrington's RBI single in the sixth provided for the run-scoring action over those two frames for AUM.
- AUM would go on to score four more runs in the seventh, to bring them to their new NCAA-era record for total runs scored in a ballgame. Morris and Zielonko singles, and Arrington and Khoury RBI walks accounted for the damage in the inning.
