MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- The Auburn Montgomery men's tennis team hosted Division-I opponent Troy University on Friday, Jan. 17 from the AUM Tennis Complex, falling 6-1 to the Trojans in exhibition action.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Trojans grabbed the double's point after taking the taking all three flights from the Warhawks to begin the match.

Muhamad Bedwan picked up the Warhawk's lone point on the day, with the freshman knocking off Pelayo Antuna 7-6, 7-5 in straight sets in the number one single's flight.
- In the single's number four matchup,
Nino Portugal took Christopher Tasker to a third-set super tiebreaker, but fell 10-8 in the deciding set.
QUOTING THE COACH
"It's obviously not the outcome we wanted, but we competed well today," Head Coach
Yair Banuelos said. "We played well in doubles, and put ourselves in good positions in singles. We just couldn't close out important games. We'll need to improve on that going forward."
UP NEXT
- The Warhawks will return to the court on Saturday, Feb. 1 when they travel to Middle Georgia State for a 12:00 p.m. exhibition contest.
