MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- The Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team rode the momentum of a 24-1 scoring run in the second half to erase an 18-point deficit and knock off the West Florida Argonauts in GSC action on Thursday, Jan. 30 from the AUM Gymnasium.
NOTEWORTHY
- The win for the Warhawks completes the season sweep of West Florida for AUM, having defeated the Argos in Pensacola 73-66 on Jan. 23 earlier this season.
- The Orange and Black have won four of their last five games, and now hold a record of 10-10 overall and 5-7 in GSC action.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Carlos Bell notched his first career triple-double and fourth double-double of the year, with a 12-point, 10-rebound and 10-assist performance for the Warhawks.

Stanley Davis matched a season-high with 21 points on a 5-12 shooting night.

Maharrith Jackson tallied 15 points, while also going for four rebounds.

Aaron Reddick pulled down 10 boards for AUM, in addition to scoring four points and blocking a pair of shots.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams scored six points each over the first four minutes, with a Jackson layup making it a six-all game at the 15:55 mark in the first.
- The Warhawks and Argos kept a tight perimeter around each other over the next five minutes, as a D. Taylor three-ball put AUM up 16-14 with 10:46 until halftime.
- The Argos would go on to take their largest lead of the half at 30-23 4:40 to go, but the Warhawk's would close out the half on an 8-2 run to trail just 32-31 at the break.
- West Florida came out en Fuego in half number two, outscoring AUM 21-4 over the half's first six and a half minutes to grab their largest lead of the night at 53-35 with 13:36 to go.
- The Warhawks slowly but surely chipped away at their deficit, however, scoring the next 10 points unanswered to cut UWF's lead to just 53-45 with 9:39 to play.
- The Warhawks would tie up the game just three minutes later on a pair of free-throws from Davis and would go up 59-54 on a three by Bell at the 4:23 mark to cap off a gargantuan 24-1 scoring run over nine minutes of game time.
- UWF did not back down, however, cutting their deficit to just two at 62-60 with 3:19 to go after knocking down a three-pointer.
- Leading by just four, Davis would down his biggest three-pointer of the night with 58 seconds left to give AUM a seven-point lead at 67-60 and keep UWF multiple possessions away from the Warhawks in the scoring column.
- The Argos got back to within four points at 67-63 one possession later courtesy of a three, but AUM would put the game on ice over their next few possessions by knocking down five of six free throws to give way to the 72-66 final.

- AUM shot 44 percent (12-27) in half number one, and 50 percent (11-22) in half number two to finish the game at just under 47 percent (23-49) on field goals.
