MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- The Auburn Montgomery baseball team erupted for 10 runs over the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to grab an 11-1 run-rule victory over Christian Brothers University, while clinching a Gulf South Conference series sweep over the Buccaneers on Sunday, Feb. 16 from QV Lowe Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Warhawks tallied the game's first run in inning number two when a Joseph Hartsfield single through the left side brought home Matthew Marfice to give AUM the early 1-0 advantage.
- AUM's 1-0 lead held to the sixth inning when CBU would finally crack the scoreboard with a two-out single up the middle to tie the game at one-all.
- The Warhawks got two more runs their next time up, however, courtesy of a monster two-run shot by Zielonko to left-center to put AUM on top 3-1.
- AUM broke open the game in inning number seven, by plating five runs on three hits. The Warhawks took advantage of bases-loaded RBI walks from Cobb and Zielonko, a CBU wild pitch and a Friesen two-RBI single up the middle with two outs to account for the damage in the frame.
- AUM got the final three runs needed to clinch the run-rule victory in inning number eight. Zielonko plated Arrington for the inning's first run on a single to left, with an error on the same play allowing Feaster to score as well. Powell delivered the final blow, as his RBI single to left field brought home Cobb to score the 11th run needed for the victory.
