MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- Five different Warhawks scored in double figures, as the Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team cruised their way to a 93-59 win over the Choctaws of Mississippi College in Gulf South Conference action on Saturday, Feb. 8 from the AUM Gymnasium.
NOTES
- With the win, the Warhawks improve to 11-11 overall and 6-8 in Gulf South Conference play.
- The Warhawks improve their all-time series record to 3-2 over Mississippi College and have now won their last three contests against the Choctaws.
- Saturday's game marked for the first time that five Warhawks scored in double figures in a game since their 99-85 win over Tiffin University on Nov. 29 earlier this season.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS

Maharrith Jackson logged his fifth double-double of the season for AUM, with a 17-point, 10-rebound performance. Jackson shot 7-14 from the floor and also dished out three assists.

Carlos Bell finished just one rebound shy of a double-double, going for 15 points and nine rebounds.

Joshua Moore and
Stanley Davis both scored 13 points, with Moore distributing four assists, and Davis hauling four boards.

Darrion Taylor added 10 points while recording a game-high eight assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Warhawks outscored the Choctaws 9-2 over the game's first three minutes and led by a score of 11-4 with 15:27 to go in the first.
- The Choctaws cut AUM's lead to just three at 13-10 with 13:28 to play in the half, but the Warhawks responded by rattling off a 10-2 run over the next minute and a half to lead 23-12 at the 11:56 mark.
- AUM went up by as many as 15 points in the half and led by a score of 44-30 at the break.
- The Warhawks notched seven of the first nine points in the second half and would continue to assert their dominance with an 18-5 run to begin the half and lead 62-35 with 12:51 to go.
- AUM continued their quality play over the next four minutes and pushed their lead to 31 points after a Davis three-pointer made it 71-40 with 8:50 left.
- Bell sent the entire gym into a state of disbelief with 8:30 to go, when he soared through the air for an emphatic dunk over Winford Ross of MC for an and-one opportunity while putting AUM up 73-40.
- The Warhawks took their largest lead of the game with 3:34 left at 87-49 and would get their final bucket from
Darryl Jones with 29 seconds left to give way to the 93-59 final.

- AUM shot 48 percent (16-33) in the first half and 54 percent (18-33) in half number two to finish at 51 percent (34-66) for the day.
- The Orange and Black tallied a season-high 24 assists in the game, dishing out twice as many as Mississippi College (12). Four different players for AUM had at least three assists on the day.
- The Warhawks also totaled a season-high 50 rebounds, pulling down eight more than the Choctaws (42).
- AUM scored 48 points in the paint, 34 bench points, 18 points off of turnovers, and 16 second-chance and fast-break points.
- The Warhawks never surrendered the lead after recording the game's first field goal, for a total of 39:47 with the lead.
