Nico Pinones-Haltenhoff Highlights Men’s Tennis Team of The Decade

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – After winning 188 matches, one national championship and five conference championships, six players from the Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis program have been named to the all-decade team.

Nico Pinones-Haltenhoff takes home the player of the decade honors for his efforts during the 2012-15 seasons. Ponones-Haltenhoff ranked as high as No. 1 in the nation in singles and doubles play and was an all-American all four years wearing the Orange & Black.  

Alberto Gonzalez, an all-American in 2010, also achieved the top rank in the country during his time at AUM. Gonzalez was part of the 2010 team that won a decade-high 26 games and a national championship under head coach Scott Kidd.

Sadio Doumbia achieved his top ranking at No. 5 in the nation and was named the 2010 ITA player to watch in the south region. He also earned an appearance on the all-American team in 2010 and won a national championship for the Warhawks in 2010.

Bence Toth was a three-time second-team all-American during his tenure at AUM, including an honorable mention in his rookie campaign in 2010. He achieved a No. 4 ranking in the ITA polls during the fall season and was named to the 2011 ITA player to watch in the south region.

Vincent Dubosclard achieved a ranking of No. 7 in the country during his tenure at AUM and was named a second-team all-American in 2014 and was a first-team all-American in 2015 and 2016. Dubosclard's 2014 team won 24 games under head coach Rolando Vargas and won the SSAC conference championship.

Bruno Savi recorded a berth on the all-American team in both singles and doubles play in 2011, his lone season at AUM. While sporting the Orange & Black, Savi climbed the polls to as high at No. 8 in the nation in singles play.
