Women’s Cross Country Places Fifth at John ‘Doc’ Anderson Invite

TROY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery women's cross country team recorded their first top-five finish of the 2020 season on Saturday, Sept. 26 with a fifth-place nod at the John 'Doc' Anderson Invite on the campus Troy University. 
 
AUM averaged a time of 22:59 on the day, while sophomore Phoebe Onkware and senior Gladys Rutto made their 2020 season debut for the Orange and Black. 
 
The Warhawks placed three in the top 40, with freshman Kyndall Foley leading the way with a time of 21:49.74 for a 22nd-place finish. Nicole Luther finished 39th with a time of 23:04.24, while Onkware posted a time of 23:18.88 to finish 40th.
 
Haley Coleman Hughes finished 41st with a time of 23:20.56, Bradley Herbert finished 42nd with a time of 23:21.61, Isabella Gyori finished 44th with a time of 23:28.53, Rutto finished 46th with a time of 23:37.02, Lucy Anthony finished 47th with a time of 23:42.23, Grace Leslie finished 49th with a time of 24:35.49, and Jordan Colacicco finished 51st with a time of 27:50.81

UAB took home first-place honors in Saturday's meet, while Kaylee Stewart from Alabama-Huntsville finished first amongst individuals with a time of 19:20.25.
 
The Warhawks will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Coach Gary Wilson Invitational in Carrollton, Ga. Race time is slated for 3:30 p.m. (CST).
