PENSACOLA, Fla. – The Auburn Montgomery Men's Soccer Team battled to a 0-0 draw against West Florida in the Gulf South Conference Tournament Semifinals on Friday, Nov. 12, with the Argonauts advancing 3-1 in penalty kicks.
The draw brings AUM record to 10-4-3 on the season.
AUM was edged by UWF in overall shot total by UWF, 13-12, with both teams putting put three shots on goal each.
Ben Alram,
Charlie Elliott,
Phillip Spickenbaum,
Darius Rashid, and
Jabari Broussard all took two shots each, with Broussard accounting for a team-high two shots on goal.
AUM took five corner kicks in the match, compared to six from UWF.
The Warhawks took a more aggressive approach in the second half, getting there best looks at goals in the 62nd minute on a Broussard header and a 69th minute free kick from Baron that both narrowly missed.
In goal,
Alexander Kraus (10-3-2) logged three saves en route to his eighth shutout of the season.
The Warhawks will now turn their attention to the NCAA Selection Show on Monday, Nov. 15 to see if they will be granted an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament.
