Warhawks Back in Win Column With 7-0 Shutout of Shorter

Box Score ROME, Ga. – The Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis team recorded their second win of the season and first Gulf South Conference win with a 7-0 road victory over the Shorter Hawks on Wednesday afternoon.

The Warhawks improve to 2-3 on the year in 2021 and even their conference record to 1-1 after the road win. Shorter, meanwhile, falls to 0-3 on the year after three-straight GSC losses.

"The boys had a good day," said head coach Yair Banuelos. "Some injuries made us adjust the doubles and the singles lineup. The team responded well after a slow start. In singles, we played good. It was also good to see Adrien Guye playing his first match and winning after a tough beginning.

The Warhawks cruised to both singles and doubles victories, winning every match to sweep the Hawks 7-0.
