MONTGOMERY, Ala. – After honoring
Francisco Jimenez before the match, the No. 19-ranked Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis team defeated Gulf South Conference foe Lee University 4-3 in the final home match of the season.
The Warhawks extend their winning streak to seven matches and improve to 10-5 on the year with a 5-2 record in conference action. AUM finishes the 2021 home schedule with a 6-3 record at the AUM Tennis Complex.
AUM secured what would be an important doubles point, winning all three courts against the Flames. Jimenez won both his singles and doubles games, winning with
Muhamad Bedwan 6-2 while also winning in the number four position 6-2, 7-5.

AUM will head to Mississippi to wrap up the 2021 regular season. The Warhawks will face off against two GSC opponents, starting with No.11 Delta State on Friday, then finishing the year against Mississippi College on Saturday.
