CLEVELAND, Miss. – The No. 23-ranked Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team extended their winning streak to three matches after handling Gulf South Conference foe Delta State 6-1 on the road Friday morning.
AUM improves their record in 2021 to 9-5 after the road win. With a 6-3 record in GSC play, the Warhawks will have a chance to lock up the third seed in the upcoming GSC Championships with a win in the regular-season finale.
The two teams split the first two doubles games, but the pairing of Alba De la Torre and
Tonja Foessmeier secured the doubles point that set the tone for the Warhawks to beat the Lady Statesmen 6-1.

The Warhawks will look to lock up the third seed in the GSC Championships tomorrow morning when they travel to Clinton, Miss., to take on the Mississippi College Lady Choctaws at 10 a.m.
