MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Stanley Davis of the Auburn Montgomery men's basketball team has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for District 5 in NCAA Divison II. It was announced on Thursday, May 6.

Davis knocked down a team-high 43 three-pointers in 2020-21, good enough for seventh-best in the GSC. The Tallahassee, Fla. native shot 41 percent from the floor, 37 percent on threes, 87 percent on free throws and averaged 14.6 points per game.
 
Davis averaged a career-best 4.3three pointers per game and knocked down three or more treys in six contests, including a career-best eight threes with a career-high 36 points scored against Lee University on Feb. 27. The senior guard recorded his lone double-double of the season with a 20-point, 11-rebound performance in an 89-75 win over Montevallo on Jan. 30.
 
Davis's academic all-district selection comes off the heels of being named to his second-consecutive Gulf South Conference Winter All-Academic Team on April 7. An art major, Davis boasts a cumulative grade point average of 3.48 and will be earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree on Saturday, May 8 at AUM's 2021 Spring Commencement.
 
The 2020-21 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late May.
 
The CoSIDA Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed on the following pages and are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
 
The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2020-21 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CoSIDA Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
