MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Auburn University at Montgomery head men's tennis coach
Yair Banuelos has announced the addition of Thibault Jacq to the program. Jacq is the only addition to the men's tennis team for the 2022 season.
"We are happy to have him," said head coach Banuelos. "He's another lefty on the team, which is a good advantage."
Jacq joins the Warhawks from Rennes, France, where he attended the University of Rennes 2. While in France, he won several French national tournaments, including the ITF Junior G5 Saint-Gregoire twice in his career, while his UTR in 2019 rose to as high as 11.83.
The Warhawks will bring back all but one player from the 2021 team that qualified for their first-ever Gulf South Conference postseason tournament. The team clinched their first-ever win after defeating West Alabama in a 4-3 thriller.
