Former Warhawk Jarett Croff Continues Hoops Career in Cyprus-OPAP Basket League

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Former Auburn Montgomery men's basketball player Jarett Croff has signed with YDRA Asfalistiki ENAD Agios Dometios of the OPAP Basket League based out of Nicosia, Cyprus.

The signing comes on the heels of Croff's fourth season in professional basketball since his departure from AUM in 2018.

We're very excited for Jarett getting to this level," Head Coach Michael Cheaney said. "Given all of the adversity he faced while here at AUM, it's a blessing to see him still be able do something that he loves to do. We're so proud of him, as a former Warhawk, to see him accomplish his dreams and wish nothing but the best for him."

The Franklin, Tenn. native made his professional debut in the winter of 2018 with a three-game slate for Al Rayyan of the Qatar-D1 league, followed by a 17-game stretch from May-August of 2019 with the South West Metro Pirates of the Australia State League in Runcorn, Australia. While with the Metro Pirates, Croff averaged 17.4 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 55 percent on two-point field goals.

Croff averaged 10.8 points and eight rebounds over six games for Puerto Montt of Chile-Liga Nacional in December of 2019, followed by a stellar eight-game stretch from January-March of 2020 for Forssan Koripojat of the Finland-1st Division. While playing in Finland, Croff averaged 20.6 points and 12.9 rebounds per game.

Croff averaged 7.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game from 2016-18 with AUM, posting a career field-goal percentage of 50 percent. He holds the single-game record for the men's basketball program with 23 rebounds in an 85-83 win at Mississippi College on Feb. 1, 2018.
