MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Auburn Montgomery women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 Gulf South Conference decision at Christian Brothers University on Sunday, Sept. 26.
The loss brings AUM's record to 3-4-0 overall and 1-3-0 in GSC action.
Mayson Jaindl led the Warhawks with a pair of shots on goal while
Ariel Jones accounted for a pair of shots, with one on frame.
Brianna Yurkovich also took a pair of shots while
McKenzie Nowin and
Anila Mantello each added a shot on goal.
In goal,
Karla Gaytan's record fell to 3-4-0. The junior keeper hauled in three saves in the setback, upping her season total to a GSC-best 54.
The Lady Bucs tallied their first score in minute number 30, followed by a pair of second-half goals (61', 71') from Bailey Tadlock.
AUM took 10 shots on the day, with four in the first period and six in the second. Of the Warhawks' 10 shots taken, five came on frame.
The women's soccer team will see a two-week hiatus from action before returning to the pitch for a home contest on Friday, Oct. 8 against #9 West Florida. Kickoff from the AUM Soccer Complex is set for 5:00 p.m.
