BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Jeremiah Bozeman of the Auburn Montgomery Men's Basketball Team has been named the Gulf South Conference Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 17-23. It was announced on Tuesday (Jan. 25).
Bozeman averaged 28.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and five steals over a pair of games for the Warhawks last week. The Alva, Okla. native shot 71 percent (15-21) from the floor, including a mark of 54 percent (6-11) from three and a clip of 84 percent (21-25) from the free throw line while playing in all 90 minutes of action for AUM over the course of last week.
The senior guard posted a career-high 30 points for AUM in a 107-97 double overtime victory against Alabama Huntsville on Saturday, Jan, 22, a game in which he also grabbed six steals and went 9-13 from the floor while leading an AUM team with just seven players available to play. Bozeman posted 27 points, five rebounds and four steals in an 86-76 road setback against West Georgia on Wednesday, Jan. 19.
Bozeman marks for the third Warhawk to be named the GSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week this season, joining
Isaiah Hart and
James Graham.
The men's basketball team will be back in action on Thursday, Jan. 27 when they host Christian Brothers University at 8:00 p.m. from the AUM Gymnasium.
