2022 UAH CHARGERS INVITATIONAL
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery women's cross country team placed 27th overall, with a time of 19:12.40, in a strong NCAA South Region field of runners at the 2022 University of Alabama in Huntsville Festival Year Showcase on Saturday morning at John Hunt Park.
Nelson finished the race in 19:12.40, which was good for a first-place finish on the team and a 139th-place finish overall.

SCORING FIVE
- Nelson's 19:12.40 was good enough to finish first on the squad in the 5K.
- Abby Little's 19:48.80 (183rd overall) made her AUM's second finisher on the morning.
- Nicole Luther finished just seconds behind Little, as she ran a 19:51.70 to finish 185th overall in a field of 400 runners.
- Isabella Gyori's time of 19:57.30 was AUM's fourth time under 20 minutes in the meet. It also placed her fourth on the squad in the race.
- Haley Coleman Hughes fought her way to the Warhawks' final scoring spot with a time of 20:04.70.
NOTABLES
- Nelson, having already posted the seventh-fastest 5K race at AUM all-time earlier this season, notched another top finish in program history. Nelson's time was the fastest run by an AUM competitor this season.
- Freshman Abie Jenkins also turned in a season-best time for AUM with a 20:52.40.
