TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- The AUM women's cross country team ran to a tenth place finish at the FSU XC Invitational at Apalachee Regional Park on Friday morning. It was the third top 10 performance for the Warhawks in four regular-season races.
AUM scored 292 points and were the highest finishing Division 2 program in the field. AUM's group averaged a time of 20:31.54 on the 5k course across its top seven runners.

SCORING SQUAD
- Sophomore Adley Burkes was the first Warhawk to cross the line, scoring 48 points while completing the race in 19:55.5.
- The next six runners for the Orange and Black were separated by just 34 seconds.
- Junior Franziska Dempwolf clocked in at 20:36.8 in 88th place for 59 points.
- Freshman Emma McGee finished in 20:38.3 for the 90th position and 60 points. Her time was 24 seconds faster than last week in Louisville.
- Freshman Railey Prins and senior Lucy Anthony came across the line together, with times of 20:43.4 and 20:43.7, respectively.
- Junior Elizabeth Blitch and freshman Mckenzie David were the last two Warhawks among the top seven.
UP NEXT
AUM will prepare for the Gulf South Conference Championships, which will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Choctaw Trails in Clinton, Mississippi.
