Women's Basketball Takes Down West Georgia in GSC Contest

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery women's basketball team picked up a 78-63 victory on Sunday afternoon against the University of West Georgia in a Gulf South Conference game.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Warhawks made four three-pointers in the first quarter to help them take a 24-11 lead at the end of the first. 
  • West Georgia made a shot from beyond the arc, but the Warhawks responded with back-to-back three-pointers from Jordyn Maddix and Allasha Dudley. The duo helped spark a 10-0 run for the Warhawks as they went up 34-14 at the 8:46 mark in the second quarter. 
  • Jamya Tyus made a layup with 5:42 to go in the third to give the Warhawks their largest lead of the night at 38-15.
  • The Warhawks went into the break with a 45-28 lead. 
  • West Georgia was able to trim the lead to 10 points early in the fourth quarter. Kamya Hollingshed hit a big three-pointer followed by a jumper by Parke. 
NOTABLES
  • Allasha Dudley lead all scorers with 17 points and added six rebounds. 
  • Lilly Parke had a career-high of 15 points and was 5-of-7 from the field and brought down five rebounds. 
  • Jemeriah Moore tallied her fourth double-double of the season with 12 points and a season-high of 14 rebounds. 
  • Jamya Tyus scored 13 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field. Tyus has scored 410 career points. 
  • AUM outrebounded West Georgia 41-32. 
  • The Warhawks forced the Wolves to 29 turnovers.
