The Warhawks responded in their next at-bat, however, with an RBI sac fly from Thornton and an RBI single from Phillips to go up 2-1. A leadoff single from Syer, followed by a double from Feaster, helped set up the scoring opportunities.
AUM would go on to hang a three-spot in its next two at bats to go up 8-1. A solo shot by Hartsfield and two-run bomb from Dew accounted for the damage in the third, while a two-RBI double by Clark and an RBI single from Dew provided for the scoring action in the fourth.

AUM added three more runs in the bottom of the eighth before giving way to the 13-3 final. A wild pitch, RBI groundout from Wells, and a Ceman RBI knock provided for the damage done.
