MOBILE, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery Baseball Team fell 9-1 to the Spring Hill College Badgers on Wednesday, Feb. 9, bringing its 2022 record to 1-4.
Nick Freeman drove in AUM's lone run, with
Jackson Ceman scoring in the contest for the Warhawks while adding a pair of walks.
Joseph Hartsfield,
Kasey Clark, and
Brody Syer all knocked a hit in the setback.
Jax Morris (0-1) was credited with the loss. Morris surrendered two earned runs over the game's first two frames while striking out one and walking one.
Mason Elmore also tossed two innings for the Warhawks while
Jake Chase hurled 1.1 innings of scoreless relief.

Mario Galloway all made appearances out of the bullpen on the day
The Badgers tallied their first two runs of the contest in inning number one, taking advantage of a two-run blast.
Spring Hill added runs in both the fourth and fifth innings on RBI singles to up its advantage to 4-0.
The Badger bats knocked four RBI singles in the seventh, in addition to taking advantage of an AUM throwing error, to bring across five runs and go up 9-0 to put the game effectively out of reach. Freeman's RBI knock in the ninth brought home Ceman after a one-out walk from Ceman and a two-out single from Phillips.
The Warhawks will return to action on Friday, Feb. 11 when they host Embry-Riddle in game one of a three-game weekend series against the Eagles. First pitch from Q.V. Lowe field is set for 4:00 p.m.
