#44 Women’s Tennis Upends #33 Harding 4-2

SEARCY, Ala. – The 44th-ranked Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team earned a dramatic 4-2 victory over #33 Harding 4-2 on the road on Thursday morning in their third match of a six-match road trip.

AUM moves to 8-2 on the year after recently being ranked No. 44 in the polls earlier today. The Warhawks snap Harding's seven-match winning streak as the Lady Bisons now sit at 10-4 on the year.

After AUM's number one doubles pairing dominated to start the match, AUM was able to earn a dramatic 7-6 (7-2) win in the second doubles flight as Ane Ibarra and Nahia Izco were able to net AUM the win.

After Harding took a quick 2-1 lead after two victories in singles play, wins from Ana Villalvazo, Navarro, and Izco gave the Warhawks a 4-2 win over the Lady Bisons.

The Warhawks will stay on the road and will head to Texas for the first of two matches to close out the road trip. AUM will face the University of Texas at Tyler tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m.
