#23 Men’s Tennis Upended By Mocs 5-2 In Matinee Action

LAKELAND, Fla. – The 23rd-ranked Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis team dropped their second match in a row after a 5-2 non-conference loss to Florida Southern on Saturday morning.

The Warhawks move back to .500 on the season and now stand at 4-4 on the year. Florida Southern wins their third straight match and are now 4-3 in 2022.

AUM saw one victory in doubles play, but the win had come after the Mocs had clinched the doubles point. David Mulas and Giovanni Bellio won AUM's second flight 6-4. Bellio continued his momentum into singles play as he and David Rieme both secured victories, but it wasn't enough to win the match.

AUM will return to action on Saturday, March 12, to take on Gulf South Conference foe Mississippi College. The action from the AUM Tennis Complex is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
