LIVINGSTON, Ala. – In the opening match of their final road trip of the season, the 47
th-ranked Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis team dropped a Gulf South Conference contest to 39
th-ranked West Alabama 5-2 on Thursday afternoon.
AUM falls to 10-9 in 2022 while the Tigers improve their record to .500 and now sit at 8-8.
The Warhawks found themselves down early in the match against West Alabama after dropping all three doubles courts. AUM, however, got wins from
Joao Guariente and
Thibault Jacq in singles play but, the Tigers were still able to hold on to win 5-2.

The Warhawks will play their final road match of the season next Wednesday when they travel to Valdosta, Georgia, to take on the Valdosta State Blazers. The match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and will also serve as the Gulf South Conference finale.
