MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis team pushed three singles players and three doubles teams into the round of 16 on day one of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's South Region tournament at the AUM Tennis Complex.

FIRST SERVE - DOUBLES
- Muhamad Bedwan and Giuseppe Bonaiuti secured an 8-1 win over Montevallo pair Iser/McDaniel to advance to the doubles round of 16 on Saturday.
- Thibault Jacq and Antione Renard def. Sobich/Hartman (Montevallo) 8-4 to advance to Saturday's doubles round of 16 as well.
- Joao Guariente and Adrian Contreras def. Saint Martin/Jarvis (Mississippi College) 8-7 to advance to doubles round of 16 action.
FIRST SERVE - SINGLES
- Contreras def. Hammond (West Alabama) 6-3, 6-3 before falling to Lee's Ramirez Ribes 6-1, 6-4.
- Bonaiuti picked up a pair of singles wins (def. Gomez 6-0, 6-1, and Kerney 6-4, 6-0) to reach Saturday's singles round of 16.
- Bedwan secured a 6-3, 6-3 singles win over Montevallo's Julius Ziebart before falling 7-5, 6-4 to Facundo Bermejo (West Florida).
- Guariente also won a pair of matches, 6-2, 6-1, and 7-5, 6-4 to push himself into the singles round of 16.
- Titouan Le Maout collected two singles win to earn a place in Saturday's round of 16 singles matches as well, with a 6-1, 6-2 victory and a 7-5, 7-6 (8-6) victory.
