Joseph Lanzi Named Warhawk of the Week

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Joseph Lanzi of the Auburn University at Montgomery men's basketball team has been named Warhawk of the Week based on his performance this past week.

The Birmingham, Alabama native averaged 19 points per game and scored a season-high of 24 points against the University of West Florida on January 2.

The junior scored 15 points at Georgia College and followed it by scoring 18 points against Valdosta State University.

Lanzi shot 22-of-35 from the field and knocked down eight shots from long range. He brought down 11 boards and dished out five assists during the week.

The Warhawk of the Week award is a weekly honor on AUMathletics.com that is presented to one male or female student-athlete for their athletic achievements from the previous week.

Lanzi and the rest of the men's basketball team will be back in action on Saturday at the University of Montevallo in a Gulf South Conference game.
