WOMEN'S GOLD 5K RESULTS | WOMEN'S BLUE 5K RESULTS
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery women's cross country team saw five runners turn in sub-20 minute 5K times en route to a 17th place finish at the 2023 Royals Challenge, hosted by Queens University of Charlotte.
AUM was led by Kenlie Nelson, whose 5K time of 19:21.08 was good for 70th in a field of 244 runners.

SCORING FIVE
- Nelson placed 70th with her 19:21.08 5K in the women's Gold 5K race.
- Nicole Luther clocked a 19:40.71 to finish second for the Warhawks.
- Abagail Little was AUM's third runner with a 5K time of 19:44.29.
- Adley Burkes (19:57.88) and Mary Brady Herbert (19:58.21) closed out the scoring for the Warhawks as the two runners finished within a half-second of each other.
NOTABLES
- Burkes finished in the scoring five for the Warhawks for the fourth race in a row to open up her collegiate career.
- Herbert turned in a personal-best 5K time for the second week in a row and broke the 20-minute mark for the first time in her AUM career.
- Nelson edged herself out of ninth on the AUM 5K performance list with her 19:21.08. She still has the sixth, seventh, ninth, and 10th-fastest 5K times in school history.
- The team saw all five of its scoring runners race a sub-20 minute 5K time, which marks the second time they have accomplished that as a program.
- Madison Foshee raced a 20:02.31 in the women's Blue 5K race and finished 13th out of 180 runners in that race. Franzi Dempwolf (20:25.96) also saw her first action as a Warhawk in the Blue 5K. Elizabeth Blitch, Abie Jenkins, and Glady Koech also competed in the Blue 5K for AUM.
