TEMPE, Az. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association has released individual rankings for the upcoming 2023-24 season and the Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis members
Joao Guariente and
Giuseppe Bonaiuti are ranked No. 21.
The duo showcased their teamwork at the ITA South Regional Championships, earning an 8-4 victory against Rollins College in the opening round. Despite falling in the quarterfinals against Lynn University, where they narrowly lost 8-7, Guariente and Bonaiuti have demonstrated resilience and skill. With a combined effort, they posted a team doubles record of 4-6, with a 2-3 record in the Gulf South Conference in the 2023 season.
The Warhawks finished last season with a 16-9 overall record and a 7-2 GSC record.
AUM made a run to the GSC Tournament Championship match, before falling to Valdosta State University. The Warhawks earned the program's first appearance in the NCAA South Region Tournament in Saint Leo, Florida last season.
