DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery baseball team put up a four-spot in the top of the sixth inning and led 5-3 going into the bottom of the ninth inning, but Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University used three hits, a wild pitch, and a hit-by-pitch to storm back to a 6-5 win over the Warhawks on Friday afternoon.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Things were quiet offensively until back-to-back RBI singles by the Eagles put the home team up 2-0.
- An RBI single by Robert Post made it 3-0 ERAU in the fifth inning.
- In the top of the sixth, Clayton Phillips reached on a throwing error to open the floodgates on a four-run frame.
- A Nick Freeman single put runners on the corners before Jarren Wright grounded out to second to plate Phillips.
- Cooper Doughman and Brody Syer then each doubled, to score Freeman and Doughman, as the Warhawks tied the game 3-3. AUM then took the lead as Syer scored on an error by the second baseman.
- Syer tacked on another RBI with a single in the eighth to add an insurance run for the Warhawks and make it 5-3 AUM.
- The Eagles got a lead-off homer in the bottom of the ninth to pull with one run at 5-4 and tied the game on a wild pitch. Zach Coldsnow struck out swinging but reached first on the wild pitch, allowing the tying run to come home.
- After an intentional walk to load the bases, Embry-Riddle earned the victory on a walk-off hit batsman.
ON THE MOUND
- Andrew Cronan earned the start and logged 5.0 innings. He gave up 10 hits but minimized the damage to three runs allowed against two strikeouts.
- Brett Pitts tossed 2.0 innings of scoreless relief with a pair of strikeouts.
- Grant Hickman (0-1) was saddled with the loss. He allowed three runs, all earned, on five hits in 1.2 innings.
NOTABLES
- Kasey Clark made it three straight multi-hit games as he went 2-for-4 in the game.
- Doughman went 2-for-4 with his team-leading third double of the campaign.
- Syer added a 2-for-4 effort with a double, a single, two RBI, and a run.
- Wright's RBI groundout pushed his team-high RBI total to seven on the young season.
