LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery softball team fell on Sunday afternoon in the Gulf South Conference series finale at the University of West Alabama 4-2 at the UWA Softball Complex.

HIGHLIGHTS
- UWA struck first in the second inning with an RBI double that scored LP Trammell to open the scoring.
- West Alabama's Madison Wright knocked a single up the middle that scored Kori Young.
- Rebecca Komers got on base with an error and advanced to third and Haley Ann Frank scored in the fourth inning to get a run back and make it 2-1.
- Chloe Baynes bunted and Olivia Aycock scored off a throwing error by the Tigers.
- West Alabama's Ann Marie Stanbridge hit a two run shot to right-center field to give UWA a 4-1 and won the game.
ON THE MOUND
- Sydni Free (2-2) went six innings and gave up four runs on six hits. Free walked four batters and suffered the loss.
UP NEXT
AUM returns to the diamond on Tuesday, February 28 to take on Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Georgia at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
