MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Auburn University at Montgomery softball team trailed 7-0 after the second inning and then plated 12 unanswered runs in the final three frames to take down Delta State University 12-7 on Saturday afternoon at the AUM Softball Complex to complete a three-game sweep in Gulf South Conference play.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Delta State got things going quickly in the first inning with Jenny Griggers knocking a two-RBI single to take a 2-0 lead.
- DSU did not slow down as they hit a RBI single in the top of the second and it was followed by a MyCala Helms grand slam to push the score to 7-0.
- Kat Fallen started knocked a RBI single to right center field that scored pinch-runner Shelby Edgeworth to make it 7-1 in the fourth inning.
- In the fourth inning, Chloe Derrick singled and Olivia Aycock grounded into a fielder's choice that gave AUM two runs to make it 7-3.
- The Warhawks got two runs in the fifth inning off a RBI triple by Chloe Baynes and another RBI double from Fallen to bring the Warhawks down two runs.
- Auburn Montgomery rallied in the sixth inning scoring seven runs with Lexi Love driving in two runs off a DSU error and it was followed by Faith Wheat scoring on a wild pitch to give the Warhawks the lead.
- Baynes registered a RBI single and Derrick drove in two runs off a triple to right field.
- Gia Martin knocked a single to right field that brought Derrick home and gave AUM the 12th run of the game.
IN THE CIRCLE
- Sydni Free got the start and tossed 1.1 innings allowing four runs on three hits. She walked two batters.
- Morgan Ferguson (W, 9-3) came in relief and threw 5.2 innings and gave up three runs on four hits. She struck six batters out and walked two. Ferguson gave up one hit in the final five innings.
NOTABLES
- The Warhawks winning streak is up to 10 games and have won 11 straight GSC matchups.
- Fallen tallied her 10th game with multiple runs batted in and Derrick has had eight this season.
- Allie Miller extended her streak of reaching base to 17 games.
