HIGHLIGHTS (GM 1)

  • Solo home runs in the second and third innings, from Riley Black and Malachi Cloud, gave the visitors a 2-0 lead.
  • Kasey Clark answered in the fourth inning as he belted a two-run homer to right, his second of the year, to tie the game 2-2.
  • A Cam Suto two-RBI single up the middle sparked a three-run sixth inning for Lee, and Black added an RBI double to make it 6-2 Flames in the eighth.
  • A sacrifice fly from Clark in the eighth plated Cole McWhorter and got a run back for the Warhawks to make it 6-3 heading to the ninth.
  • After Zach Dew singled to short, Brook Brannon worked a one-out walk to put two runners on ahead of Syer. On an 0-1 pitch, the left-handed hitting Syer promptly clubbed a three-run homer the opposite way as AUM stole game one 7-6.

ON THE MOUND (GM 1)

  • Clay Slagle worked 5.1 innings and gave up four runs, all earned, on four hits. He allowed just two hits and struck out three.
  • Daniel Swatek allowed a run on two hits with two strikeouts in two-thirds of an inning.
  • Michael Myers (1-2) earned the win with 3.0 innings of relief work in which he allowed a single run on three hits with three strikeouts.
HIGHLIGHTS (GM 2)
  • The Flames again found early offense, with a Josiah Miller RBI single in the first and an Isaac Quinones solo home run to left staking Lee to a 2-0 lead after two.
  • Lee tacked on another Miller RBI single in the fifth before a two-run home run by Brandon Daniels made it 5-0 Lee.
  • Clayton Phillips added an RBI groundout in the bottom of the fifth and Freeman scored on a wild pitch to get a pair of runs back for AUM and make it 5-2 heading to the seventh.
  • Zach Dew's seventh-inning RBI single brought AUM a run closer, but the Flames extinguished the comeback attempt by the Warhawks to capture the series win.
ON THE MOUND (GM 2)
  • Grant Hickman logged five innings of relief that saw him battle back-and-forth with Lee starter Jack Nedrow.
  • Hickman gave up just one earned run, four total, and walked one batter against 11 strikeouts for AUM.
  • Jack Nedrow tossed a complete game for Lee in getting his third win of the season. He gave up three runs on six hits with six strikeouts.
