PENSACOLA, Fla. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery baseball team scored two runs in the visitor ninth inning, but could not complete a comeback as the University of West Florida held on to an 8-6 victory at Jim Spooner Field in the weekend finale.

HIGHLIGHTS
- The Warhawks took the first lead of the day thanks to a Cooper Doughman RBI single up the middle.
- Brody Syer added an RBI double, and a Zach Dew sacrifice fly made it 3-0 AUM.
- AUM held the lead until a monster fifth inning by the Argonauts.
- Four straight RBI singles and a single that plated a pair capped a six-run home fifth inning as the Argonauts led 7-3.
- A Kasey Clark RBI single in the seventh and a Doughman two-run single helped the Warhawks trim the lead, but UWF held on for an 8-6 victory.
ON THE MOUNDÂ
- Luke Turner (0-3) allowed three earned runs on three hits with one walk and three strikeouts in 4.1 innings.
- Grant Hickman allowed a run in 1.2 relief innings, while Lucas Baggett yielded a run with two strikeouts in two innings.
NOTABLES
- Clark (2-for-4) added his second multi-hit game of the series and his 19th of the season.
- Doughman, who went 2-for-4 with three RBIs, made it seven games this season with multiple RBIs.
- The Warhawks once again saw a balanced hit effort from the lineup with seven different players collecting at least one hit.
