TUSKEGEE, Ala. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery baseball team tallied 17 runs, the most scored by the Warhawks this season, in a run-rule victory over Tuskegee University on Tuesday afternoon at Washington Field.
Senior outfielder
Brody Syer led AUM's offensive attack with a 4-for-5 effort at the plate. Syer drove in five runs, clubbed a double, and scored a pair of runs.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Nick Freeman led off the game with a hit, stole second base, and Jackson Ceman delivered an RBI triple to give AUM a lead. Syer added an RBI groundout to make it 2-0.
- The Warhawks totaled three runs in the visitor third before Tuskegee put up an RBI triple in the home half.
- A four-run fourth, helped by a two-RBI single from Syer, and a Doughman solo homer in the fifth helped blow the game open before AUM cemented the win with six runs in the sixth.
- Syer and Pitts once again added to their RBI columns and the Warhawks were helped by a pair of Tuskegee miscues in that visitor sixth.
ON THE MOUND
- Clay Weatherly notched the start and allowed one run in 2.2 innings with five strikeouts.
- Wade Chandler (1-0) earned the win with a trio of strikeouts in 1.1 innings of work.
- Tommy Vickers struck out a pair of Golden Tigers hitters in one inning of work.
- Cole Kehoe yielded one hit and posted one strikeout in one relief frame.
NOTABLES
- Syer put up a season-high five RBIs, which also tied his career-high.
- Chandler's win marked his first of the campaign. It also marked his third scoreless appearance of the year.
- Doughman smacked his fourth homer of the year.
- Clark (2), Doughman (2), Pitts (3), and Syer (4) all totaled multi-hit efforts in AUM's run-rule victory.
- Pitts tied his season-best effort at the plate in a 3-for-4 day. He also drove in two, walked once, and scored one run.
- The Warhawks saw eight players register at least one hit, and eight players score at least one run.
