Marty Lovrich celebrated 10 seniors on Saturday afternoon as the Warhawks hosted Senior Day at the ballpark.

Jake Spivey were all honored ahead of the game with their Senior Day plaques and recognized for their contributions to the AUM baseball program.

GM 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Both teams combined to score five runs in the first inning. The Blazers tallied three in the top of the inning, and a Kasey Clark sacrifice fly along with a Zach Dew RBI single made it 3-2 Valdosta State after an inning.
- The Blazers kept attacking and scored one in the second, three in the third, and another in the fourth to lead 8-3 after four frames.
- A Dew solo home run and a Brannon RBI double to the wall in right-center tacked on two more for AUM as the Warhawks trimmed the lead to 8-5.
- VSU added another three-spot in the sixth en route to a 12-7 win in game one of the doubleheader.
- Dew and Clark hit back-to-back home runs for the Warhawks in the last of the ninth before Valdosta State got the final out to record the win.
- Senior Brook Brannon added a 2-for-5 effort in game one with an RBI double.
GM 1 ON THE MOUND
- Cronan (3-5) suffered the loss for the Warhawks on the mound. Cronan walked three and struck out two against eight hits allowed.
- Vickers surrendered a trio of runs in 2.1 relief innings for AUM.
- Collins added 2.1 scoreless innings of relief with just one walk as he retired seven of the eight men he faced.
GM 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Clark singled up the middle to plate Jackson Ceman to get the scoring started in game two.
- Valdoste State pegged a pair of three-run home runs in the second inning to take a 6-1 lead after two.
- Clark added an RBI single in the third and a two-run home run in the fifth, his seventh of the season, but the Blazers found two runs in the third and fifth innings to cement the weekend sweep.
- Seniors Clayton Phillips and Brody Syer added a 2-for-4 and 1-for-3 effort, respectively.
GM 2 ON THE MOUND
- Luke Turner pitched 2.2 innings and suffered the game-two loss.
- Grant Hickman allowed two runs in 2.1 innings of relief work.
- Daniel Swatek allowed a base hit and a walk with two strikeouts in the back half of the doubleheader.
NOTABLES
- Clark totaled his 22nd and 23rd multi-hit games of the season for the Warhawks.
- Dew's home run in game one marked his first of the campaign.
- The relief appearance for Collins marked his fifth scoreless outing in relief thus far for AUM.
- Clark drove in all four of AUM's runs in the second game of the doubleheader and currently has a team-best 53 RBIs.
