MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Saint Leo University swept a doubleheader against Auburn University at Montgomery behind a come-from-behind, 11-inning win in game one before shutting out the Warhawks in the weekend finale.

GM 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- A sacrifice fly gave Saint Leo an early 1-0 lead heading to the home second.
- Clayton Phillips answered with a sacrifice fly RBI of his own to tie the game at one in the home half. Jackson Ceman and Zach Dew then each added a two-out RBI base hit as AUM staked a 3-1 lead.
- The score remained until three more Warhawk runs in the bottom of the seventh. Kasey Clark added an RBI single of his own ahead of a two-run double by Doughman as the Warhawks opened up a 6-1 lead.
- Saint Leo came storming back with a five-spot in the visitor's eighth inning. An RBI triple by Buck Anderson, two RBI singles, and a two-run homer by Mike Wyman tied the game 6-6.
- Anderson added a go-ahead RBI single in the top of the ninth, but Brody Syer answered with an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to send the game to the 10th.
- Saint Leo again jumped in front by a run, but Jake Spivey smashed a solo homer to lead off the bottom of the 10th to send the game to another inning.
- Anderson remained hot with an RBI single to push the Lions back in front 9-8, and the Lions were able to slam the door to win game one.
GM 1 ON THE MOUND
- Wade Chandler notched his first start of the season and allowed just one earned run on three hits with one walk and two strikeouts.
- Clay Slagle logged 4.1 innings of relief and allowed a trio of runs with a pair of strikeouts.
- Michael Myers (2-4) took the loss allowing a run with two strikeouts in 1.1 relief innings.
- Brett Pitts pitched a third of an inning and allowed two hits.
GM 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Anderson captured his fourth run-scoring hit of the day to put Saint Leo on top 1-0 after three in game two of the doubleheader.
- Two runs in the fourth, three runs in the sixth, and two runs in the seventh inning delivered an 8-0 shutout for the Lions.
GM 2 ON THE MOUND
- Clay Weatherly allowed three runs, walked two, and struck out three in 4.0 innings in getting the no-decision.
- In relief, Andrew Cronan allowed one unearned run, three total, in two innings of work.
- Daniel Swatek allowed one earned run in an inning of relief work for the right-hander.
NOTABLES
- Clark's game-one RBI single gave him a team-best 42 RBIs.
- Chandler started his first game for the Warhawks and tied his season-best with 3.0 innings of work. He allowed just one run with two strikeouts.
- AUM was shut out for just the third time this year.
- The Warhawks had three players (Ceman, Clark, and Doughman) all tally three hits in game one, and eight total Warhawks combined for 16 hits.
