SAINT LEO, Fla. - The Auburn University at Montgomery softball team trailed by two runs entering the sixth inning against No. 10 Saint Leo University and a late rally saw the Warhawks scoring six runs in the final two frames to defeat the Lions 6-2 in the first round of the NCAA Division II South Region at University Softball Stadium.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Saint Leo took a 2-0 lead after three innings off a RBI single and on a throwing error.
- The Warhawks got two runners on base in the fourth inning off a single and a walk, but could not score a run.
- Kat Fallen reached first base on a throwing error and advanced to third on a throwing error. Allie Miller and Molly Cobb scored unearned runs to tie it at two in the sixth.
- Chloe Derrick brought Faith Wheat home on a sacrifice fly to give AUM a 3-2 lead in the sixth.
- AUM added insurance runs in the top of the seventh with Miller earning a two-RBI single that scored Shelby Newsome and Olivia Aycock. The Warhawks added their final run with a groundout from Fallen that brought Baynes home.
- The Warhawks held on defensively to take the 6-2 victory.
IN THE CIRCLE
- Avery Dickerson started the game for the Warhawks and tossed four innings giving up two runs with one being earned. Dickerson struck three batters out and walked a pair.
- Alanna Goble (W, 2-0) worked the final three frames and gave up no runs on two hits. Goble walked one batter.
