Women's Basketball Falls at Home Against No. 6 Union

MONTGOMERY, Ala. --  The Auburn University at Montgomery women's basketball team fell to No. 6 Union University on Tuesday night inside the AUM Athletics Complex 90-69 in a Gulf South Conference matchup.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Jemeriah Moore got an and-one layup to fall and buried the free throw in the first minute to give AUM a 3-0 lead. 
  • Danielle Luckey made a layup to give AUM a 10-7 after grabbing an offensive rebound at the 6:30 mark in the first half. 
  • Allasha Dudley converted a layup towards the end of the first quarter to push AUM to a 17-14 lead. The Lady Bulldogs responded with a run to take a 21-17 lead at the end of the first. 
  • The Lady Bulldogs outscored AUM 33-13 in the second quarter and went into the break with a 54-30 lead. 
  • The Warhawks opened the second half with a 12-1 run to trim the lead to 13 points after Jamya Tyus and Brianna Sanchez got layups to fall. 
  • Union connected on their 12th three-pointer of the game in the final minute of the third quarter and took a 70-51 lead. 
  • AUM was not able to trim the lead down any more and Union earned the 90-69 victory. 
NOTABLES
  • Tyus scored a season-high of 20 points and grabbed six rebounds. She was 10-of-14 from the field.
  • Nevaeh Small scored a career-high of 16 points in 16 minutes of action. She brought down five boards. 
  • Dudley scored nine points and had five rebounds. 
  • The Warhawks scored 56 points in the paint.
