VALDOSTA, Ga. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery women's basketball team was defeated 65-43 by No. 23 Valdosta State University on Saturday afternoon inside The Complex despite owning a 28-27 lead at the halftime break.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Tian Addison got the afternoon started with back-to-back two point shots to fall as the Warhawks took a 4-0 lead.
- Grace O'Gara and Allasha Dudley connected from three-point range to grow the lead to 10-5 a couple of minutes into the game.
- Danielle Luckey made a layup and converted the and-one opportunity late in the first quarter to give AUM a 20-16 lead.
- O'Gara found Brianna Sanchez early in the second quarter on a layup and AUM's lead went to 26-20.
- Sanchez made a layup with 2:58 left on the clock in the first half to give AUM a 28-27 lead and neither team scored again in the first half.
- The Warhawks were outscored 20-4 in the third quarter and VSU took a commanding 47-32 lead after the third quarter and did not let up in the fourth quarter as they claimed the 65-43 victory.
NOTABLES
- Addison led AUM with 11 points after playing the full 40 minutes. She grabbed three rebounds in the game.
- AUM was 3-for-21 from long range in the game. The 14% from long range is the second lowest percentage this season.
- Valdosta State's Lili Long scored 17 points on the afternoon.
