TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Auburn University at Montgomery women's cross country team took part in the Florida State Invitational on Friday morning, placing 21st out of 36 teams.
The 6K race was hosted at Apalachee Regional Park and featured more than 350 competitors.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Sophomores
Emma McGee (23:54.2) and
Mckenzie David (23:54.9) led the pack for the Warhawks, coming in 111th and 112th respectively, with both producing career-bests.
Adley Burkes became the third AUM runner across the finish, doing so with a mark of 24:15.7.
Ryan McGilvray turned in a time of 25:11.1 in her first career 6K, with
Kyndal Little following with a new career-best time of 25:48.6. Senior
Abie Jenkins closed out the scoring for AUM, doing so with a time of 29:03.1.
UP NEXT
AUM is back in action on Oct. 11, when they head to Texas to take part in Dallas Baptist's Old Glory Gallup. The meet will be the last for the Warhawks ahead of the Gulf South Conference Championships in Memphis on Oct. 25.
