LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The AUM women's cross country team came home with a seventh place showing at the Live In Lou Classic at E.P. "Tom" Sawyer Park on Saturday.

The Warhawks scored 225 points while running in the Silver Race of the event hosted by the University of Louisville. AUM's group averaged a time of 20:57.30 on the 5k course.

SCORING FIVE

• Sophomore Adley Burkes was the first Warhawk to cross the line, completing the race in 19:59.5 for 15th place.
• Freshman Railey Prins clocked a time of 20:46.7 for 39 points.
• Classmate Emma McGee was just behind at 21:02.2 for the 43rd spot. 
• The final three scorers - Abagail Little, Mckenzie David and Elizabeth Blitch - all ran under 22:00.

"The girls ran okay with a solid team finish,," said head coach Ryan Thompson.

UP NEXT
AUM will return to the course on October 8 when the squad participates in the Florida State Invitational. The 5k race will be held at Apalachee Regional Park and start at 8:20 a.m. Eastern Time.
