MONTICELLO, Ark. – Auburn University at Montgomery Women's Basketball went on the road at Arkansas Monticello and fell 69-60, for the third consecutive loss to start the season.
Arkansas Monitcello's efficient second half was the difference in Friday night's game. The Blossom's shot 50% in the second half led by five scorers in double figures. A third quarter spurt for Arkansas Monticello put them ahead by 10 where they controlled the second half.
The Warhawks (0-3, 0-0) opened the game with six unanswered points before the Blossoms (3-1,0-0) stormed back to even the game at 15 after the first quarter.
AUM held Arkansas Monticello to 22% from the field in the second quarter and controlled a two-point lead at halftime.
Coming out of the locker room, the Blossoms went on a 15-4 run to take a 40-31 lead over the Warhawks and would lead by eight headed into the fourth. AUM was just 3-13 in 3
rd quarter but added a pair of threes.
The Warhawks trailed by a deficit of ten for most of the fourth quarter and would fall for the third straight game.
Allasha Dudley led the Warhawks with 18 points and four threes. As a team, AUM committed 19 turnovers to give the Blossoms give points.
AUM continues the two-game road stint at Lander on Saturday, November 23 with tip-off set for 2 p.m.
