BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The AUM men's basketball team fell to UAB, 109-64, in an exhibition game at Bartow Arena on Monday night.
Gilbert Crowley led the Warhawks with 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting, to go along with five steals, four assists and three rebounds.
Trent Coleman joined Crowley in double figures with 11 points.
AUM took a 12-10 lead with an 8-0 run to grab some early momentum. As a result of some early foul trouble, the Warhawks weren't as effective in the paint and allowed the bigger Blazers to grab 14 offensive rebounds and score 14 points on their way to a 49-30 lead at the break.
The second half saw the Blazers shoot 62 percent and pull away for the final margin.
AUM shot 32 percent and made four 3-pointers. All 14 players who dressed saw playing time for AUM.
AUM will return to action next Tuesday, Nov. 26 against Miles when it plays its first home game of the season. Tip-off at the AUM Athletics Complex is at 4 p.m. The game will follow the women's game at 1 p.m. against Spring Hill.
