PENSACOLA, Fla. – The AUM women's volleyball team fell to league-leader West Florida, 3-0, at the UWF Field House on Wednesday.
AUM (8-17, 5-11 Gulf South) finished with 41 digs and 21 kills.
Kendall McCain led the Warhawks with 10 kills.
UWF (21-5, 16-0) hit .364 and was paced by 14 winners from Jenna Zydlo. The Argonauts had nine blocks with 55 digs.
Set 1
UWF played well early, using a 12-0 run for a 15-2 lead. The Argonauts won the set 25-11, hitting .531.
Set 2
AUM grabbed a 6-3 lead early in the second set. UWF bounced back by scoring five-consecutive for an 11-7 lead. After a service errors, the Argos won the next four points on their way to a 25-18 decision.
Set 3
The Warhawks had a 4-0 run early in the third to force an Argo timeout at 11-8. UWF battled and eventually had a 21-11 edge. AUM outscored the home team 6-4 in the final 10 points.
